How to Survive Valentine's Day Single

  1. 1
Realize that Valentine's Day is only made for money. Valentine's Day is not actually something like a prom, it's only for people to make money from all the roses and chocolates people buy (when you think about that you will feel less sad). (A Catholic/Christian view: Valentine's Day is the feast day of Saint Valentine, patron saint of lovers).

Spend Valentine's Day with a friend or family. Valentine's Day doesn't have to be with a partner; it can be with a friend or family and you can show them how much you care by going out and buying them a rose.

Avoid braggers. People who brag about their partner will get you down, so avoid people like this. Stay with someone who is single on Valentine's Day so you both can understand how you both feel.

Avoid couples. If you have a friend who is with their partner, it's in your best interest to stay away from them, even if they ask you to go somewhere with them it's not a good idea. It's Valentine's Day, so obviously there will be a lot of affection and if you see that it will ruin your week and also you will feel like you're just tagging along and this will also hurt your feelings.

Entertain yourself. Just because it's Valentine's Day doesn't mean you have to celebrate it. Do something that will take your mind off things.
